The culmination of a brief but productive visit from Amsterdam-based jazz trumpeter and composer Allison Philips. Together with a few of Mike DeiCont’s pieces (and bass playing) the two musicians brought together a quintet and made some incredibly cohesive and energetic music. Recorded live all in one room, this record really could not have been made any other way.
